What Are Sprouted Walnuts?Sprouted walnuts are raw walnuts that have been soaked in water for 8–12 hours and allowed to germinate under controlled conditions, a process also called “activating”. Unlike sprouted grains, walnuts do not visibly grow a tail during sprouting, but the soaking and germination process triggers enzymes and reduces anti-nutrients, making them easier to digest and more bioavailable.
